The 2024 Edition of Transport Research Arena (TRA2024) was held in Dublin, Ireland from 15 to 18 April under the theme "Transport Transitions: Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Mobility" and welcomed more than 4,000 participants. The Conference was co-organised by the European Commission and gathered stakeholders from all transport networks (road, rail, waterborne and aviation), bringing notably research and industry communities closer to each other.

Each of the 4 days focused on a specific theme (Safe & Inclusive Transport, Sustainable Mobility of People and Goods, Efficient & Resilient Systems, and Collaborative Digitalisation) addressed through different types of Sessions (Plenary, Strategic, Technical, Special and Poster), some of them including a panel discussion.

ECTP was involved in the preparation and organisation of the Conference through the TRA Management, Programme and Organising Committees. Within TRA2024 Edition, Miguel Segarra (Dragados, ECTP Vice-President) has organised and co-chaired the Strategic Session 3.1 under the topic "The Resilient Transport Network: Enhancing and Maintaining Europe’s Infrastructure to Cope with Decarbonization and Climate Change". ECTP was also involved in the preparation of the Special Session 3.2 under the topic “Greening of Construction of Transport Infrastructure”.

The next edition of TRA will be hosted by Hungary and will take place in Budapest from 18 to 21 May 2026.
